Throughout her career Josephine has worked across architecture and urban placemaking, exploring the concept of social resilience through community led design.  With her research focused on the improvement of health and wellbeing within urban neighbourhoods, Josephine is passionate about the delivery of diverse and adaptive mixed use proposals that not only provide for new inhabitants but engage with the existing community to encourage economic growth; sustainable living; and localism.

Josephine has extensive experience in navigating the planning process and has led a number of sustainable certification submissions since joining IBI Group in 2018, she is currently working within IBI Group’s architecture team on the delivery of a large-scale hospital within South West England.  Having worked with public and private clients; governmental bodies and charity organisations on projects ranging from the micro to macro scale, Josephine is a passionate and versatile designer within the IBI Group team.  Josephine is a member of the NLA Next Gen Sounding Board; a mentor within Women in Architecture; an activist for circular economy in construction through the Architect’s Climate Action Network; and is currently finishing her qualifications to become a registered architect.
