Sarah Parsons

Head of Place and Design, London Borough of Waltham Forest


Sarah joined the London Borough of Waltham Forest as Head of Place and Design in November 2019. She leads the teams responsible for Planning Policy, Infrastructure Planning and Design and Conservation, and steers strategic masterplanning projects on key sites in the borough, including Blackhorse Lane and Lea Bridge.
Sarah began her career working in private architectural and urban design practices, before taking her experience into London’s public sector 14 years ago. Since then, she has built up a breadth of knowledge and experience in development management, planning policy and area regeneration, with a particular focus on design and conservation. She has played a leading role in a number of London’s key regeneration areas, including Earl’s Court and the Old Kent Road.
