Mike Luddy

Commercial Development Director, HS2


Mike Luddy is Commercial Development Director for High Speed 2 having joined the project in September 2018. He is responsible for establishing the Operational and Commercial elements of the new build stations on the programme as well the development of land around these station sites for regeneration (excluding Euston).
Prior to joining HS2, Mike spent 7 years as Managing Director for the Royal Docks in London overseeing the redevelopment of this 3,000-hectare site in East London. Mike was also Chief Commercial Officer at Gatwick Airport between 2008 and 2011 and spent a number of years at BAA as well as Commercial Director at two major regional Airports. He also led a key project with LOCOG for London 2012.
Most relevant to his current role however was when he was Project/Commercial director at LCR between 2001 and 2008 and led the regeneration of St Pancras International Station devising and implementing the award winning operational and commercial strategy that set a new benchmark for UK station development. St Pancras remains the most commercially successful station in Europe.
