Venue and directions

The London Real Estate Forum this year takes place at the Barbican on Wednesday 27 September for the Conference Day and the Tours Day takes place the following day on Thursday 28 September. The main entrance to the Barbican Centre is via Silk Street, EC2. Nearest tube stations are Barbican (4min walk) and Moorgate (7min walk).

Registration will be sign-posted from the main entrance and is located on the Lower Ground Floor. The event takes place across four stages in the Barbican – the Barbican Hall Stage, Fountain Room, Garden Room, and Frobisher Auditorium 1.

The main programme will take place across four halls in the venue, so please do take a look before the event and familiarise yourself with the location of each of the stages to help improve your experience on the day.

We will have a printed programme and map, as well as, plenty of staff available to guide you around the Barbican, but here are the key locations to be aware of:

Opening times

Doors will open at 08:00 with programme sessions starting at 09:15. Breakfast will be served prior to the first session on the Ground Floor.

Join TfL Property Company’s Breakfast Briefing from 08:00–09:00, with speeches at 08:30.

Refreshments, including healthy snacks provided by Therme Group, will be served throughout the course of the day from the bar areas located around the Ground and Lower Ground Floors.

Lunch will be served from 12:45.

Our day of programming finishes at 17:30, with the NextGen Reception in the Conservatory running until 20:30.

Registration

Upon arrival, please report to the Registration Desk on the Level −1 to collect your delegate badge and lanyard.

All delegate badges will be printed by our team, so you will not receive an e-ticket or a ticket to print at home. Badges are fully recyclable and the lanyards provided can be returned to registration staff or the LREF team to be recycled.

Badges cannot be shared between individuals and are for the named individual only. This includes Conference + Tours tickets. The same delegate who attends the Conference Day must attend the Tours Day.

Swapping badges between individuals is strictly forbidden and may result in you being refused entry.

If you are attending the Tours Day, you will receive joining information directly from the tour organisers.

Tours Day

If you have registered for the Tours Day, you will receive an email from the team asking you to confirm your preferences for the tours. If you haven’t received an email but think you should have, please contact us at lref@nla.london

Receptions

Kick off the conference day on Wednesday by joining TfL Property Company’s Breakfast Briefing from 08:00–09:00 ahead of the day’s exciting programme of talks and round tables. 

Then, join us later for a NextGen Reception, hosted in association with Gardiner & Theobald. The reception begins at 17:30 and ends at 20:30. This is being held in the Conservatory on Level 3. 

Everyone who holds a Conference Ticket or a Conference + Tours Ticket is welcome to attend the receptions and there is no need to RSVP. 

If you have just the Tours ticket, you will not be permitted entry into the Receptions.

Cancellation policy

All passes are non-refundable except in the case of any unforseen circumstances which would mean we had to cancel or postpone the Forum. In these circumstances you will receive a full refund OR be offered to roll over until the next event date. 

If you decide not to attend or you are unable to attend due to your own personal circumstances we will offer a free of charge name change service at any time, including on site.
